Irish Wade - Irish Character Figures

A series of 9 Irish character figures, modelled on characters from traditional Irish ballads. The series was introduced in 1973 and later reissued in 1991. It can be difficult to tell apart models from the two series, but as a general rule, the second issue models were produced in a darker glaze. They also carry a green backstamp reading 'Seagoe Ceramics', although this wears off easily.
