Thanks for visiting my website. In case you're curious, here's the story behind the site...Wade collecting has been an interest of mine for over 20 years now, and for much of this time I have also been dealing.
In the early years, collecting for me, like many other people, involved buying at auction, through collectors clubs, and at antiques and collectors fairs around the country. In 1998, however, I started selling Wade on the Internet and in 2004, benswade.co.uk was launched - a specialist Wade website where I could advertise excess items from my collection.
Over the years the selection of Wade offered on the website has increased from just a handful to several hundred models, and I now offer one of the largest selections of Wade in the world (if not THE largest). All of the items listed on the site are either duplicates from my collection or items that I do not collect.
During the time I've been collecting and dealing, I've bought and sold literally thousands of Wade items, ranging from the common to the super-rare, and acquired an extensive knowledge of the Wade history and products. I've also made plenty of good friends and contacts along the way and contributed to a number of Wade books, including those by Pat Murray and Ian Warner / Mike Posgay.
Nowadays, most of my Wade buying and selling is done online, but I still buy and sell through auctions, and at collectors fairs around the country - and I still enjoy finding that odd missing item for my own collection!
